Reading and pronunciation rules:

Pronunciation- Ánnaillisti

It is hard to tell what’s the apropriate way to read and pronounce Hujdiš  corectly.  Let’s say that we could use the accent of Finnish or Estonian, but there are words where this rule cannot be applyed so easy. I also noticed that the language can be interpreted in a more east european accent or in a sweadish accent. No matter what, here are the reading and pronunciation essentials in Hujdiš.

The Accent – Dállenæ

In general the accent is concentrated in the first syllable.  Even though the majority of the longer words are made by agglutination we are still concentrating the accent on the first syllable and then, with the rest of the air, we pronounce the rest of the word respecting it’s inner rule and accent.

Ex. Fraanjuuvkaš  (skirts) -is divided into syllables like fraan – juuv – kaš where ‘’fraan’’ has the lead accent and ‘’juuv’’ the secondary accent and ‘’kaš’’ with no accent.

Double vovels and double consonants – Ketpaalu vokalijut uk ketpaalu konsonantijut

The vovels that are doubled are going to be pronounced separately and the same.

When it comes to a doubled consonant we have to give it our individed atention. That consonant is creating a gap between the vovel, or group of vovels before it and the next sounds afterwards.

Ex. Hässen ( beautifull)  is going to be readed Hä:ssen, accentuating ‘’hä-‘’ and after a short break realissing ‘’-ssen’’.
